Our Story

Every love story is beautiful, but this is our favorite.
From friendship to forever, this is the journey that brought us here – and the one we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Avery

Hello, I am Avery. I was born and raised in the peaceful district Mile and a Quarter, Barbados. I grew up in a family, comprising my parents and two younger siblings, in a household grounded in mutual respect, open honest communication and everlasting support.  This nurturing environment has moulded me into a kind hearted, selfless and respectful person.

My early formal education began at St. Alban’s Infants School followed by Lincoln Primary (New Zealand) and Roland Edwards Primary School. After successfully completing my secondary education at Combermere School and Queens College (Barbados), I pursued a medical degree at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. Currently, I am a House Officer at the Arima General Hospital in the department of Ophthalmology.

In 2022, I met and grew to love Kelsey while working at Arima District Health Facility. Despite our different cultural backgrounds, I realized that our personalities are similar. I found her to be warm, tenderhearted and self-assured with a quiet strength and a ready smile. I value my fiancée’s honesty and strong will.

With a passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures I believe that life should be one of great happiness, joy and fulfillment. For recreation I engage in hiking, gardening and relaxing on the beach. As an avid sports enthusiast I enjoy football and weight training. I also make time for spiritual connections and reflection. Apart from my personal development my profession brings with it the opportunity to help persons feel better and to value and care for their health.

I am excited to embark on this new chapter in my life. With God’s guidance and the continued support of friends and family I look forward to this union.

Hi everyone, I’m Kelsey! I can’t wait to celebrate our amazing day with all of you.

Just a little about me, I grew up in Chaguanas, Trinidad in a close-knit, loving and nurturing environment with my parents Mala & Danny and my siblings, Anitra and Tristan. Over the years I’ve built a life filled with amazing people and experiences.

As a doctor I am currently working in the Paediatric ICU department at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex and I’m aiming to specialize in Paediatrics. When I’m not working, you may find me enjoying an outdoor activity like spending some time at the beach, hiking or taking long drive. I also enjoy travelling, spending time with my loved ones and baking.

Avery and I went to medical school together so when we started working together at the Arima District Health Facility, friendship came easily. Getting to know how caring, kind, funny, motivated, and attentive Avery is and realizing our similar interests and personalities only made me grow to love him. Life with Avery so far has been one that is full of love, happiness and adventure. He has grown to be one of my biggest supporters and my calm in any storm.

As we get closer to our wedding day, I’m grateful to share a bit with you and I appreciate the love and support we have received thus far. I can’t wait to celebrate this wonderful day surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, and to begin this new chapter of life with Avery by my side.

How We Met

We both started Medical School in the same year and shared a few small interactions, but it wasn’t until later that our paths truly crossed. Our journey really began at the Arima District Health Facility, where we reconnected—not just as colleagues, but as friends. We would joke and tease each other to the point that our work colleagues would tell us we had “Tobago Love,” not realizing it would later blossom into something real and lasting.

Despite our unique backgrounds, our shared taste in music was one of the first things that brought us together. Having similar values, goals, and interests, we easily felt that we were destined to be. Beginning our love story in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic had its challenges—nowhere was open! However, we all know that where there’s a will, there’s a way, and we definitely made it work. Long drives, beach runs, hikes, and “inside” date nights with good food, good fun, and plenty of laughter allowed our bond to grow stronger.

She Said Yes

A question, a promise of forever and a “yes.”

It's Just Beginning

As we begin this new chapter, we’re filled with gratitude for the journey that brought us here and for everyone who’s been part of it.

To our family and friends – thank you for your love, support, and for sharing in our joy.

We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you – surrounded by laughter, music, and the people who mean the most to us.  Here’s to love, life, and the memories still to come.
